If Ensberg doesn't wake the hell up in this series, it is going to suck. The White Sox bullpen is much better then the Cards and Braves pens.Astros have their hands full.

Re: 10-22-05 Astros at White Sox - Game 1 of 2005 World Series

Ensberg and Lane are deadweight right now in this lineup - we won't win if they don't hit. It's been the same thing all postseason - if one of them hits, we win. But Morgan may need to start working...

Re: 10-22-05 Astros at White Sox - Game 1 of 2005 World Series

Without question, the Astros lost this game because they failed in two golden chances to drive in our speediest base runner from scoring position with less than two outs. You don't deserve to win when...

If you had left Berkman in, and hed been gunned down at the plate, people would be asking why you hadnt pinch hit. Lamb isnt awful against lefties- I thought it was a good call.

Phil probably figured Jenks would have come in to pitch to Burke had he pinch hit... so he took his chance with Lamb.I was hoping to see Burke bat myself...Andy Pettitte will have his game tomorrow...

Sorry, I wasn't too clear - agree with the pinch runner, but still think Garner should have pinch hit Burke for Lamb.

Re: 10-22-05 Astros at White Sox - Game 1 of 2005 World Series

Garner can plan and shuffle and motivate all day long - in the end if guys don't hit there's nothing he can do. He though Lamb had already hit a homer so why not just keep him in there? I think the...
